Hi all,
I've been asking around shops in Lowyat about Leadtek 8800GTS 320MB & every shop says no stock. I made a call to Ban Leong & they told me that there is a shortage. Is this phenomenon only happening here or worldwide? Shouldn't this card be easily available since it has good performance for the price especially when you pair it in SLI mode & running at resolutions not exceeding 1280X1024? Ban Leong cant even confirm when will this card be available. Does anybody have news on this?
This card should run UT3 & Crysis pretty sweet in SLI @ 1280X1024 with medium to high settings.

If you're looking for a 8800 series cards, go for the 8800GT - very the value for money. If you're looking for a cheap cheap 8800GTS card, go look in garage sales.....

why so many ppl bother to sell thier gts320mb.... i still got a lot of faith in this card....its still can help me get max setting for most of the game..... if not just get second 1 from garage and do SLI still can last you 2-3 years unless u have alot cash to go for pcie2 later...

??? What's wrong with possesing 8800gts? Yes, I'm owner of the card but still I can run games even at 1400X900 resolution with no lags.
No games made my Card difficult till this days, even crysis.

Hehe, i'm one them who gain benefit from this (pick up a cheap 8800GTS from garage sales ) But IMO, there's really not necessary to jump from 8800GTS to 8800GT. It's not like getting a HUGE improvement right? even though, yes 8800GT is better than 8800GTS.

hmm..yes, 8800gt is better than gts but the performance increase..should not be taken into consideration..just not really that impressive. although it has been sad and unfair to us gts user..however i don't think there is a need to change to gt..unless you are going to get a new card.

Sigh.. new buyers should go for 8800GT, but existing 8800GTS no reason to move at all. If ur 8800GTS user you probably wanna upgrade to Ultra level card rite...

For me, GTS still can last for another year or 2. No point wasting so much money to keep updated. Price will depreciate day per day. We know that. It's just a matter of time.
But just an opinion lor. Some people might love to go after best performance cards.
(Psst : I might grab another GTS to SLI it since people are selling cheap. I rather "rugi" RM700 more to get a 2nd GTS than "rugi" RM400+ to get a GT)

SLI GT is rather quite perfoming if not mistaken, can pawned the GTS 640mb easily...
but 1 thing nice about SLI 8800GT, u need very little power only a puny 450W (true power, as someone prefer)...... no need to upgrade PSU for many....

Remember that the 8800 GTS/GTX were top-end cards a month ago before the release of the 8800GT. And is there a reason why it should not be high-end cards now??? The reason why people are selling their GTSs is because they don't want to loose more money. However, rumours are saying that the price of 8800GT might go up. In that case, the prices of 2nd-hand GTSs might go up a bit too. Market trends.... For current 8800 owners, I don't think there is any point in upgrading to Ultra, unless it becomes damn cheap or you have $$$. It is better to wait for next gen cards that support DX10.1 (and whatever new features) before upgrading.....

Hemm.. and i think this is quite a good timing to 'fish' for those cheap 8800GTS, as now there are more directx 10 games on the market and many will be released soon in end of the year, not like lastime where we can hardly find any directx10 games..

Thought there are many DX10 compatible games ,still non are fully utilizing the power of DX10, The new G92, 8800gt is indeed a powerful mid end card, but the future lies for DX10.1 cards... hopefully nvidia will launch new series that fully support it.
i wonder what AMD will do about it this month, lol cant wait...

Just remember that current DX10 cards do not support DX10.1, although DX10.1 features might not be that important anyway. ATI is supposed to release their 3800 series cards that support DX10.1/shader model 4.1..... next month, if I'm not mistaken. However, from the specs, doesn't look like it can compete with Nvidia's 8800 series cards....

Buy or sell, still rugi nia... it's better to keep the card for 1 or 2 years ler... by that time, it's not 8800GT legion already.
(I feel that this 8800GT gonna last for a second before nVidia launch a new card that pawn GT much worse than GT pawn GTS)
Anyway, I'm still on the lucky side because I have bought GTS 3-4 months ago. For those who just bought <1month... sorry to hear lol.

hm..better hold on..if the difference is like changing from 7300GT to 8600GT..then i think its worth it..rite?But if juz few score in benchmark..then..for what?If u play games you can also get the same quality if u compare both..or ur super super sensitive until can sense the difference..haha so juz safe up some bucks and wait for a bigger breakthrough..if for me(poor) cant afford to follow those guys who follow the trends owning the latest and most powerful stuff..and of course u need a heavy and always full pocket too..so juz think..are u on the group(follow the trend) side? Then u'll need to work hard to get some xtra bucks.. If you are playing in 1280x1024 resolution at max, actually you will not notice any differences between GTS and GT, seriously there is no point to upgrade as yoou gain nothing. The current GTS owners either can wait for 9XXX-series card or at least new generation of GTS which is going to launch in December
