SLI GT is rather quite perfoming if not mistaken, can pawned the GTS 640mb easily...

but 1 thing nice about SLI 8800GT, u need very little power only a puny 450W (true power, as someone prefer)...... no need to upgrade PSU for many....

Remember that the 8800 GTS/GTX were top-end cards a month ago before the release of the 8800GT. And is there a reason why it should not be high-end cards now???

The reason why people are selling their GTSs is because they don't want to loose more money. However, rumours are saying that the price of 8800GT might go up. In that case, the prices of 2nd-hand GTSs might go up a bit too. Market trends....

For current 8800 owners, I don't think there is any point in upgrading to Ultra, unless it becomes damn cheap or you have $$$. It is better to wait for next gen cards that support DX10.1 (and whatever new features) before upgrading.....

Hemm.. and i think this is quite a good timing to 'fish' for those cheap 8800GTS, as now there are more directx 10 games on the market and many will be released soon in end of the year, not like lastime where we can hardly find any directx10 games..

Thought there are many DX10 compatible games ,still non are fully utilizing the power of DX10,
The new G92, 8800gt is indeed a powerful mid end card, but the future lies for DX10.1 cards... hopefully nvidia will launch new series that fully support it.

i wonder what AMD will do about it this month, lol cant wait...

DX10.1 ? DX10 era just started so fast get DX10.1 ? hm..i think DX10.1 is just like DX9 upgrade to DX9.0a/b/c....

Yup, something like that. Just remember that current DX10 cards do not support DX10.1, although DX10.1 features might not be that important anyway.

ATI is supposed to release their 3800 series cards that support DX10.1/shader model 4.1..... next month, if I'm not mistaken. However, from the specs, doesn't look like it can compete with Nvidia's 8800 series cards....

so what is the price of this new 8800gt?

for retail unit of 8800GT is around RM850-950,
depends on the brand,
for bulk buy, it is at RM800, the lowest I saw...

There is no point for GTS owner to dump their gc to garage sale, still can overclock and just wait for G100.

320mb is good s dead n replaced by 8800GT so either buy the gts in garage sales which u will rugi a lot or straight away get the 8800GT at shop around 900

yo guys , for the not so loaded now is THE time to get the 8800gts as rm725 also can get (saved 40%) and still near the top as performance goes...those guys that sold off the 8800gts must be diehard bruce willis or have uncle scrooge behind them...IMO

Any idea when will the new 8800GT hit our local shelves? I asked in Ipoh from one of the main PC shops today but the supplier said haven't bring in this product. So slow & lame...sigh. I already sold my 8800GTS to another buyer...well technically I cant say sold because I haven't even paid for it LOL & will order 2X of 8800GT.

i just bought my 8800gts last 2 weeks wit my new pc to replace my lost pc..now got cheaper n greater card ady..unlucky me..

or you try to buy from those ppl at here which have ready stock lo,
the price also around RM900,
then later if really have problem,
u can either post it to his place to claim,
or send to the shop u know,
at most they charge you handling fee only...

Now 8800GTS will be relaunched in early December with 256bit bus, 128shader with 512MB/1GB GDDR3.

i have the same fate bro...paid for a high price and juz add few bucks can get 8800GT already..but nevermind..still can play most games with high resolution and settings..so juz hold up and keep on saving..maybe wait for next gen 9XXX series then..hahaha...believe that 8800GTS can survive another 1 or 2 years more..but hand itchy already..damm..

it's better to keep the card for 1 or 2 years ler... by that time, it's not 8800GT legion already.

(I feel that this 8800GT gonna last for a second before nVidia launch a new card that pawn GT much worse than GT pawn GTS)
