During my CNY holidays period went watched these movies:

the wrestler:
A depressing movie about a washed out superstar but the reason why you can feel depressed cause the movie has successfully made you feel so. All thanks to the brilliant acting of Mickey Rourke and i will want him to win the Oscars for this

Slumdog millionaire:
Perhaps that the only indian movie which i manage to finish but enjoyed it as well. One of the best movies i watched from last year. thumbup.gif There never been a dull moment and the cinematography and acting is phenomenal. Brilliant job Danny Boyle! I want this movie to win the oscars for best picture!

Connected:
Heard alot on it and watched it on dvd. Honestly apart of Yip man, this is one of the best chinese movies i watched from 2008, perhaps one of the best chinese movies that gave me faith that there is still hope in HK cinema. Its been a very long time i didnt watch a movie that kept in hanging on the cliffs for the whole movie, as well as taking a breath in relief after watching the ending.

But my CNY good movie spreed was almost spoiled by watching the twins mission on TV. doh.gif Thank god for the edison scandal that should get rip of all possible twins movie rclxms.gif

Just completed the hurt locker. As many critics acclaimed, i can understand why the critics loved this war movie. Its a much realistic portrayal of the iraqi war and can keep urself glued to ur seats till the movie's end.

It may not have overexaggarated action scenes like saving private ryan or any WW2 flicks but look at the convincing acting between the 3 main cast. Its more like a thinking's man war movie. Loved it, perhaps one of the best movies of what has been a good year for movies from 2009.

Watched the princess and the frog. My oh my, i enjoyed it more than Up. This is beyond my expectation. Disney has finally did a great job here, thanks to their return of 2d animation which is refreshing after we been bombarded by too many but lame CG animation movies, good music and good old fairy tale telling but with some New Orleans twist.

Guess because i abit biased as i a big fan of jazz music, I going to give the princess n the frog a better rating than Up, as in Up, apart of the first 10 mins which is classic, the remaining of the movie is just like ur typical CG movie plot. This one I enjoyed from start to end.

Watched how to train ur dragon and finally dreamworks scores and will give Pixar some sleepless nights. Good animation and best of all good story development. No wonder it scored the highest for movies in 2010 in rotten tomatoes cause many movies up to this year are pretty poor.

Best movie of 2010 for now, followed by Kick Ass! thumbup.gif
