Last time me also borrow movies from my uni's library, but that was in Australia.
That time they has VHS only, DVD aren't popular yet. Still remember I borrowed Indiana Jones and the Rider of the Lost Ark, and Blade Runner Btw, City of God is very good, but I can't stand the kiddo killings part :sweats: |

Dragon Hunter - 7.5/10
A french made CG animation movie. Beautifully rendered, and sweet musical scores Loved the strange world they represent, where almost everything floats in the air. A very nice change from those typical Hollywood animation. |

Fatal Move (奪帥)
Sammo is back as a triad boss again... a few of the cast from SPL is back also, but this time Simon Yam is a baddie I was expecting something like SPL, since they have similar cast. But without Donnie Yen, there's no fist fighting like in SPL, but all are weapons fighting, and some which can be very bloody violent, severed hands and blood everywhere. Haven't seen Tien Niu on the silver screen for long long time, no doubt she has aged from her prime days, but there's a WOW factor when you first see her on screen... it's hard to remove your eyes from the pair of spotlights Another long time no see actor is Danny Lee, which reprise his usual role as an Inspector again, but too bad not much screen time for him to shine, he's more like a kelefei Wu Jing, again reprise his role as the assassin, but with more screen time and fight scenes this time, he's deadly armed with a long sword which slice through the enemies like butter. There's no doubt about his fighting skills but his acting skills and speech still need a lot of improvement. Too bad Sammo only show off his skills at the very end of the movie This post has been edited by greyshadow: Mar 27 2009, 09:53 AM |

I have no faith in any movies starring any wrestling stars Btw Fatal Move nice? Fatal Move not bad, lot's of violent scenes if you're into those It's more of a triad story, the cops are just kelefei in this movie. |

Watched Hairy Potty and 1/2 blood prince
verdict: Have to force me self to stay awake during the boring and agonizing 2 and 1/2 hours too draggy, and too much nonsense, and not enough action and magic |

Law Abiding Citizen
finally got time to watch it few days back, a very good story about a revenging father/husband, but spoilt by a bad ending Fox's acting was so so only, didn't gave him chance to shine, whereas Butler's acting is better than Fox in this film, maybe bcos he gets to act a more complex character |

Ong Bak 3
watched until fall asleep After watching Ong Bak 2, I had very high expectation on the sequel, but end up disappointed, more talk less fight IMO, this is Tony Jaa's worst fighting movie |

14 Blades
Watch it bcos of Donnie Yen Sloppy plots, actors, sets & everything make it unbearable for me to watch the only movie i abandon watching halfway this year. Score: 1/10 Reign of Assassins Top notch story with lots of twists and bends, humor, love, fighting, hatred, it's all there. Very similar to Gulong古龙 style of story Beside the main story, a few interesting side story about the other characters as well, and they did a nice job wrapping them all up. Martial art fighting also top notch as each characters has their own unique style. Best Martial art movie of recent years Score: 9.5/10 |

Devil
Mr Night finally going back to his root, although just as a writer, not director. Good but not great story, interesting to see how 5 interesting characters with different personalities stuck in a lift, and how they interact with each other. Good thing they didn't drag on the story, which is with a few usual twists of Mr Night here & there An entertaining watch.
