Robin Hood (2010)

A very unremarkable movie. They took the Robin Hood legend, stripped it of its flavour and turned into such a typical and drab movie. There isn't much that I can say is bad in it, but there is absolutely nothing worthy of praise here. This is why I don't want the Ridley Scott of Robin Hood, Body of Lies, American Gangster etc directing the new Alien movie.

Bottle Rocket. A very very nice little movie.

Piranha. The old one. Not bad but not too good either. It's got some easy-to-miss but very funny blooper-like scenes, but overall it's just not a good enough Jaws ripoff. I think this and Piranha 2 were the first movies I saw with boobies in it. I was around 6 years old and I still remember watching a scene where this guy uses his videocam to film a girl on a boat and the girl strips in front of the camera. I thought that was in this movie but it's probably in the second. Anyway I want to watch the new one.

Ignore him. He talks as if everyone is talking about his age when in fact the only person talking about his age is himself.

FFFFFFUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuu just found out The Social Network only opens here in november. Fincher movies always make it over here late. It's got an incredible average rating of 10/10 at RT with 6 reviews.

Rosemary's Baby.

Brilliant and unsettling.

lol I just watched Predators as well. It's slightly better than AvP, which means it's only slightly less shitty than AvP. Which means it's still pretty much shit. That... sword fight is as bad as anything from AvP.

Repulsion shares many similarities and themes with Rosemary's Baby, but they are different enough to make the two of them fascinating watches. Polanski likes casting pretty, innocent, and vulnerable-looking women as the leads in his horror movies I notice. Something like Sissy Spacek in Carrie. I can't think of any actress from the current generation who has that 'look', except for Gwyneth Paltrow.

Easy A. I liked it, although I think it was laying it on a bit thick in the end. Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson are solid gold.

I'll watch Inception again when I have the time. It has suffered a significant erosion in my mind since I last saw it 4 months ago, at this point I can't even call it a good movie.

It was draggy in the beginning but once it got going it wasn't bad at all. It took some interesting routes midway and although the ending is very typical of all the handheld cam movies before in that everything goes haywire and it ends very suddenly, I thought it was overall a very entertaining movie.
