Would like to know what are the upcoming new models both petrol (NA, turbo or hybrid) and electric that will be launched this year 2024 and next year 2025.

I was informed by my Nissan sales advisor that Nissan Kicks will be launched by end of this year while X-Trail replacement will be by next year. What about other cars?

Facelift?

A new generation Kicks just got released in US… would be crazy if it comes to MY by year end. Unless we’re getting the outgoing generation which seems possible since it’s ETCM.

Yes, I saw that US version Kicks on Youtube. It looks completely different from the SE Asian region Kicks that Singapore, Thailand and Phillipines got about 2 to 3 years back. Over here in Malaysia we are always getting them the latest.

Personally I prefer the looks of the SE Asian version that Thailand/Phillipines/Singapore has got. There's the latest 2023 version of the Kicks. The models look slightly different between the SE Asian countries, maybe some are the older 2020 model while some latest 2023 model.

I suspect we are getting the version which Thailand, Singapore and Phillipines are getting. Nissan models in US are usually different. They have the Altima there while we don't have it here in Asia. The Kicks they have in the US is likely the US version which is different from the SE Asian version of the Kicks.

To create a list for potential purchase in the near future.

Not everyone urgently requires to buy a car, and since buying a car is not like buying newspapers it's useful to be more informed on the available choices, and a list of available options would be useful for people to narrow it down to the one that's most preferred. I don't need a car urgently as I just recently bought one earlier this year. However, I may be getting another car either next year 2025 or 2026, hence this thread.

Also, it's useful to know of the upcoming cars that will be launched soon, to avoid any disappointment. Say just an example, the new Corolla Cross with electronic parking brake and some other additional features will be launched in few months time and the potential customer who is not in a hurry to get a car didn't know about the upcoming new model went to purchase the current Corolla Cross. If he is critical about the additional new features, he will be disappointed. Or there are other upcoming alternatives that might interest him as well which render the Corolla Cross undesirable already, due to the lack of knowledge about the availability of other alternatives or options that provide better value, performance or whatever.

I'll include some of your listed models in the list assuming they are all due for 2024 launching, after I go and investigate them since I'm not familiar with some of the exotic models if they are petrol or EV.

Yaris cross hybrid will outsell all others combined if comes in below 100K. (excl P2)

The Nissan Kicks e-power is interesting. Further investigation reveals it's a full electric vehicle that runs on gasoline instead of electricity. The electric engine/motor fully drives the vehicle, as the petrol feeds the electric engine. No charging required so there is no range anxiety.

I wonder how much will the price be once it's introduced over here.
