Past BN is expert engineering R&R event but it's always controllable. Everyone know gangster like Ali Tinju and Jamal Jamban are tools to attack their political opponent, not really about riling up the people and move the country towards extremism or damaging the confidence of investor. Same goes to Lowyat event, it's just an excuse to setup the Mara Digital Mall to grow their own crony(which failed miserably).

On the other hand, Madanon can't even control the action of one puny youth chief from their coalition. Let alone PuAS who succeed in their decades of "education" towards young conservative Malay. We should be grateful even PuAS not as crazy as this Akmal dude, but instead speak against him.

If you want to know the difference, just look if kucing issue any statement. Kucing normally do not meddle with such nonsense unless it went out of hand. This time kucing already issue statement multiple times and even met with KK Mart founder. Anyone with common sense will see Madanon couldn't contain the R&R issue and let it run wild because they are scare of any form of repercussion.

So you vote for a progressive party, they still gonna give into the extremist.

If only Ultra Malay/Muslim political party can tame the extremists then why not just vote PN and save the trouble?

Church attack is clear cut act of violence and no political parties at that time will support such action. Nobody will gain benefit from it so it's not worth engineered.

KK mart issue on the other hand started as non violence movement of boycott. Government job should be simple - brand boycott as citizen movement and politician need to stay out of it so in case it get escalated we can handle them like Church attack (all political parties will condemn, so no further escalation or prolonged chaos). You can see Mcd and Starbuck boycott movement does not have such impact because it doesn't get escalated and no politician actively leading the movement. They just milk a bit then move on to next issue, only this Akmal guy seems to be addicted to become the champion of boycott and Madanon is enabling him.

First government failed to make their stance, then they charge KK Mart founder, then UMNO MKT declare support for Akmal's action. It end up with kucing statement multiple times and Akmal still not stopping. This is the most baffling part, Madanon not gaining any political benefits from Akaml's action yet they are afraid to move against him. This only shown the weakness of BMX and PH when come to the real taiko UMNO

Who festered it then? Shouldn't be BN because they are the ruling government, and PAS is still in bed with DAP that time (Pakatan Rakyat era). If it's just some random violence act from few bad apple it can be put down easily and it did.

This time it's totally different. Politician from the ruling coalition is taking helm of the movement and didn't tone down at all despite multiple violent acts. At least the past government are able to get their house in order and made a uniformed stance. In Madanon we have DAP and Akmal/UMNO fight against each other, BMX who only dare to sound after kucing, then East Malaysia, Jakim & polices who do their own things without knowing if it's government official stance.
