i'm an engineer pursuing DBA. since ive never been in academic, i always struggle with my project paper writing. where can i get help or guidance to write? i tried meeting my supervisor twice but we didnt get anywhere :-( or does this mean i should ask for supervisor change instead? thanks!
What kind of problems are you having exactly?
I only dared to attempt postgrad school after feeling confident having written and published my Master's thesis. Although I was already a trained writer by profession by then, I still had problems adapting to the writing style required by academia. I couldn't stand writing dry shit.
My prof spent a considerable amount of time during Doctoral Seminar in Business addressing the structural expectations in dissertation writing - scope, research problem, research question, research objective, research paradigms and methodology.
Supervisors won't coach you. Their job is only to tell you whether or not you're on the right path, sometimes they bring with them their own baggage.
