Sent my MS1 for pcwork to re-cable, i'm very satisfied with the quality work of him.

My MS1 sounds better now with more soundstage now biggrin.gif
Can't really give much informative comment regarding to the SQ as i'm not good at describing them.

glad u like them =)
and nice to meet u sir. thanks for ur patient. =)

QUOTE(jonralf @ Nov 21 2008, 11:31 AM)
just wondering if anyone every recable ON3 brows.gif
and where is pcwork again...
*
tried it. but some how. i recable it back. as i feel original on3 sound is good enough. and it's only headphone that i focus about music and i don't care how nice bass or how high treble can go. just musically it's involving. so i recable it back to original cable.

QUOTE(looisc @ Nov 24 2008, 10:32 PM)
planning to send my MS1 to PcWork for recabling too... hehe... mayb in a few months when i have enough money. keke
*
if use F-12 have to wait a bit loh. jalan pasar out of F-12 already and i used up the last one for Kyl3 already.
=) i have some switchcraft plug arriving soon to replace F-12. but i do hope that F-12 comes back as i tune sound according to F-12. i don't know changing to switchcraft will give what effect to the sound.

i recently keep on ter-drop my PcWork_ksc-75 on hard floor..'
as well as, ter-tarik the cable hard while wearing it on my ear  sweat.gif

luckily nothing happens  laugh.gif
it works wonders till now  thumbup.gif
*
lol.. if connection faulty after it drop or pulled. u can send back for soldering it back FOC.
=)
but if got damage in parts will have charges according to part. =)

the cable i think can sustain tertarik for quite power. as i personally tested to hang my notebook bag with my notebook inside using the same cable, when i choosing between different types of cable before i even start the recabling business for ksc75.
my notebook is about 3 KG.
and that cable still on my personal set of ksc75 singing until now.

er.. that one is voice coil putus. i can do it. but it takes a lot of hours to fix it. which usually i don't provide such service..
because if i charge , then easily cost more than the headphone itself. usually i do that for more ex headphone. else u get a new one is cheaper.
for example. on my attemp to fix a beyerdynamic headphone. i spend about 6 hours to mess with the voice coil and the driver for my buddy. and i charge him quite some amount which only worth for headphone more than a few hundred. else better get a new one.

imagine if i spend 4 hours on ur ksc75 voice coil and i charge each hour RM 20. that will be better u get a new one. if i cannot get RM 20 for such delicated and work that require high concentration. i rather don't wanna spend my time for that.

some more it is very hard to ensure that the driver will still has the same tonality after i fix the voice coil. some headphone extremely sensitive when the voice coil is slightly shorten. for example crossroad HR2 which i shorten the voice coil for just 5-8 mm long.. the bass is lesser then the other side which the voice coil is in original state.

i don't suggest that u mod it into headphone. by isolating the air flow. the mid of the ksc75 will sounds honky and virtually giving u impression of BIGGER SOUNDSTAGE. however, it does overlap with the original mid (imagine of a direct + reflected sound mess up together and shoot into your ear)
and it does some how influences the bass quantity too.
the driver tuned for a close headphone sounds much much more different when they are taken out and perform in a open air condition like ksc75. so the driver can't be interchangable.
my serious suggestion is. get a mylar / iem for portable use. while keep the ksc75 to be use at places u doesn't need isolation but u need relaxing and seriously comfortable listening ( light weight, nothings clamp your head, and nothings poke your ear)

Between recabled koss ksc75 and mylarone bijou3, which one do u all recommend? I havent try on any of these, and i know i should not compare an IEM with koss ksc75--it's different afterall.

But i am going to have only one portable IEM/earphone/headphone, sound quality wise, ksc75 or bijou?

imho. bijou is iem sound. which commonly bassy and very forward. and sound compressed. according to my experience. bijou easier to get good sound. but if u plan to play around with ksc75 with adding amp and so on. then ksc75 better.
one more things to take note is that ksc75 is power hunger. if u going to drive it with zune or other powerful player. then it's ok. else u must get an amp. ipod don't actually driven the ksc75 to an acceptable level imho.
and then of course about the isolation and one without isolation. if u often listen music in train. then drop ksc75. it's virtually 0 isolation. =)

Yea!! I found a huge difference when the ksc75 is paired with Meizu player and rolled opamps Prodigy HD2.
Meizu player is good but not good enough to push the ksc75.
However, good sc is strong enough and can drive it to another level!
I'm satisfied with it for pc usage, not planning to upgrade unless kena poison seriously~ laugh.gif

it's the same.
just the VC itself makes the sound slightly muffled.

KSC75 pairs well with high level amps. PPAv2 etc. Imagine a less than hundred earclip with a few K's amp.
