UEM Sunrise to sell Johor land for RM144.9m to data centre company

Johor Plantations signs 5 cornerstone investors for IPO


KUALA LUMPUR (June 12):

Johor Plantations Group Bhd has secured five cornerstone investors for what would be the largest initial public offering (IPO) in more than two years, according to people familiar with the matter.

The five cornerstone investors are Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP), Fortress Capital Asset Management (M) Sdn Bhd, AHAM Asset Management Bhd, Areca Capital Sdn Bhd and Aberdeen Asset Management Sdn Bhd, one of the people told The Edge.

Johor Corp proposes to take cash-rich Kulim private at RM 4.10

PETALING JAYA: Cash-rich Kulim (M) Bhd, which is sitting on RM1.74bil in funds, is subject to a privatisation proposal by its major shareholder Johor Corp (JCorp).

In an announcement yesterday, JCorp said it was offering RM4.10 per share, which is a substantial 80-sen premium to Kulim’s last traded price of RM3.30. The company’s net assets per share stood at RM3.74 as at June 30.
