just buy the plug and play socket, you just need to connect a link in between the new player and your car original harness, no cutting or wiring
make sure you buy the right plug and play socket, you must specify what car you are driving because every car has different harness.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry didn't specify, am installing into a Proton Preve.

I wasn't sure if I needed one, but I actually did try to find such plug and play socket . And so far seems like all the wiring harness are for android players .. [i](Which led me to thought that maybe only android players needed such PnP sockets, and that maybeee I could directly connect my original sockets to the new mp5 player)

So looking for further advice 🙏

all after market players need to buy the PnP cable. because all car sockets are different.
if you look closely, the sockets on your car and the android player does not fit, so cannot work

buy the pnp cable from where you are buying your player.

Noted with thanks, matrix88.

I also just got confirmation that this double din player won't work with my original steering control... So.. With all the trouble.. I think i may end up just saving the money and keep the original radio until it dies or something. Lol. Next time will just get players installed in shop. Thanks again for the replies! 🙏

dont give up. there are some android players which support steering control, it can learn the keys and program into the player.
check out more players in the market. you will be suprised with the functions available.
