Hi all - we are looking for down-draft kitchen hoods (but quite hard to find in fairs and conventional brands)

Heard there are kitchen appliances shops in Old Klang Road that carry non conventional / European brands - if you know of this, mind sharing the shop name?

I have learned a few things in the last 24hours on possible brands / solutions for downdraft hoods

1. UNICORN - a Malaysian brand (price seems to be the lowest among others, but not that much lower than Die Dietrich)

2. Die Dietrich - looks quite nice, and still within my budget price range

3. Gaggenau - super high end (luxurious), ~50K kind of price range

4. Bosch - built in extractor with hob, don't think they have standalone (at least have not seen)

p/s: across all - it appears that downdraft hoods are not as effective as range hoods

are you using downdraft?

the ducting concealing under cabinet issue won't be a problem for us - as we are almost rebuilding the entire house, contractor say can run the ducting underground
