Lover, here is where you can find more information on Shisha:
About Shisha

I'm not sure where to get the supplies. But you can go to those shops/mamaks and tell them you're interested in buying one..then ask them where can you buy it..

Well you can start from the internet. From there build on your contacts. From what I know most shishas were imported.
Later on better ask local artisans if they could make one.

interesting business. the items you could prolly get at carefour or summit subang. its like a small arabic booth, dont know whether its a supplier or retailer though.

may i continue this topic if u dont mind, sskl. does the business requires a licence or permit to operate or u just have to deal with the place ur gonna open the shisha booth?..

if it requires a permit/licence, i assume, it need to be apply at the majlis perbandaran, correct?

help appreciated peeps. thx.

IF the goverment were to impose a ban on smoking in any enclosed public places your business can gulung tikar, well that's what happen in UK. But the probability of Malaysia to impose smoking ban is rather.................impossible.

If you're planning on making a small start-up then I don't think that a license is necessary. Even if you do, the authority will turn on a blind eye on you simply because they smoke it too when they are off duty. A friend of mine have been running shisha stall for a few years now and the income is quite stable. I had my fair share of opening a shisha stall as well.

Process :

1. Discuss with the owner of the place (rental, what will he provide, etc. )
2. Stock (bottles, coal, flavours, etc. )
3. Staff (somebody to tend the stall, preferably somebody who can make good shisha)

Done all that? You're ready to kick off. My advise, study your target location first, it is the most vital part in shisha business. And start small, maybe with 5-10 bottles first. If the demand is high, buy some more bottles. Cheers.

P/S : Call me up when it is open!
