i have 2 hp laptop but i accidentally mixed up the charger
i dont know which is for which now
can i just cross use them? are they compatible with each other? both are intel i5 laptop. their charge head also same.
one has wattage 65 w written on it, the other has no info on wattage, but has this info input 100-240v ~ 1.5A 50/60hz, output 19.5v ~ 3.33A
19.5 x 3.33 = 65w looool , so its the same?
HP 6th gen and 5th gen used different sized plugs.
Example is the EliteBook 840 G2 and 840 G3. The former used a larger plug while the latter used a smaller plug. To charge both laptops, get the docking bay.
My Latitudes and Precisions all used the same E series docking bay to charge. I bought a few last time because the suppliers were throwing them out.
ThinkPads also same. However, each dock only compatible up to 2 generations.
A T420 dock can be used up to X230 and a T440 dock can be used up to T450.
These days, just buy any laptop with Type C port to use any 65W charger from other brands.
Example is my ThinkPad T590 and Latitude 7390. Both used the same 65W Type C charger. So, I only carry 1 charger for trips. The same charger can also charge the phone and tablet.
