my friend told me our grab app can be used in indonesia and pay for their car rides.

Will the fare be shown in Rupiah instead of ringgit?

anyone used grab in asean countries before?

u go to Singapore it will show SG, Indonesia will show Rupiah, all in local currency

Yes it can you can change location in the app to Indonesia.

It shows you prices in IDR and indonesian restaurants etc

If u use ur saved credit card then it will cbarge rupiah to your credit card.

It will show the local currency, last time i at thailand it change to baht

so better to reload in ringgit first in Malaysia before going Indonesia to avoid reload in Rupiah?

Means choose the option to pay with credit card tied to grab account in Indonesia instead of reload to ringgit first in Malaysia and use it there?

credit card gives better exchange rate than grab?

i think the wallet is diff, so no point reloading RM in to ur msia wallet.

for example, now i m in sg the balance in wallet is 0 compared to RM wallet which i have some RM left in msia wallet. when i want to pay in sg i cant select to use RM walet to pay.
if u want better rate than credit card, use wise virtual credit card.

Malaysia Wallet cannot share and use in Indonesia.
Reason is ewallet is a financial account and is regulated by each country to restrict illegal fund movement.

Have to pay with credit/debit card in Indonesia.
