A pure rectifier does not have voltage regulation, so I would expect the voltage to be high

QUOTE(stormer.lyn @ Mar 17 2024, 05:18 PM) This is what I get from Google:What is the maximum charging voltage for a motorcycle? Rev the bike and the voltage should be at least in the 13's at all engine rpm's and go no higher than around 14.5v. If you are reading 15v or higher it is bad and means that the R/R is not regulating the extra voltage from the Stator and overcharging the Battery. Most articles or Youtube "How to test rectifier" video say no higher than 15V though. I think I waste my money on this one. |

Be careful, over voltage can damage your bike's electric components.. your bike battery might die off much earlier than its expected life span. bluecat68 liked this post
