Hi all,

Looking for a budget 70" TV, mainly just for watching Youtube purpose. Existing 65" Sony TV just spoilt with no image.

Browsing through Shopee/Lazada and at the budget of around 3k, I see options of Sharp 4TC70DK1X vs Sharp 4TC70DL1X vs Hisense 70A6100K.

Would like to see if there's any users of the above models here that can give some comments? Or if there are other better options at this price point?

Thanks in advance

3k for 70" tv ? No need to ask, just buy.
Some 60"or 65" tv already > 3k. Most Japanese brands are ok and so is Hisense. I hv been using a 50" Hisense tv bought 10yrs ago and still working. Want to change to 75" and above but current one refuse to give up.

Haha ya that's why I'm also considering Hisense since I think they are quite reliable also.

But the price for the Sharp one is even cheaper than Hisense that's why I'm tempted to get the Sharp one. But I see from Google reviews, the Hisense one seems using smart remote, not sure if the Sharp one is also the same or not.

Anyway both the models are the very basic ones that's why the price is cheap. But since I'm not streaming 4k so I guess it should be fine just for normal Youtube viewing biggrin.gif

I see it's listed as Android TV. From Google seems that they are slightly different but may I know if there are advantages of Google TV vs Android TV for normal viewing?

Google tv can install more apps. Some custom tv might not be able to install certain apps.

For example, Samsung tv in Malaysia cannot install disney plus for quite a while. Until recently only can install.

Android / Google TV are basically the same
Android TV is the older one, Google TV is the newer one
Honestly it's basically just a different home screen launcher design that some older Android TV devices got too

Going for this is better than Samsung / LG / others that use their own OS because it being Android has better app support unlike Samsung Tizen OS or LG webOS

Just checked, cheapest can get from Shopee for the Hisense basic model A6100 as follows:

1) 65" - RM1850
2) 70" - RM2600

with RM150 coins back (potential RM200 if can grab the voucher).

As my current TV is a 65" one, still wondering if I shall get the 70" one or just get the 65" one since the price difference is quite high, almost like paying 50% more for the extra 5" hmm.gif hmm.gif

Came across this Toshiba 65M550MP QLED tv, for 65" it's RM1k extra from the Hisense basic model. Not sure if it's worth it since Toshiba TV is also own by Hisense now? Just for Youtube or Netflix viewing.
