My friend told me to buy one from SONY but it costs more than local gaming dealers around.
So the question is,is there any difference in terms of quality?
p/s: My friend said this is comparable to when buying AP and non-AP phone set. True?
PSP from SONY or local dealer?, Any difference in terms of quality?

the only difference is warranty.
from sony surely they'll provide 1 year warranty for the console. from local shops, ofcourse they stated its cover by warranty but its not fully by sony, and local's psp is already modded to play backup games right out of the box. which immediately kills any hope to send back to sony if something bad happens. other than that, its the same. |

aha... ^^what he said generally
unless u decided to buy all those original UMDs, and not thinking of flashing CFW, then it's more economical to buy 'AP' set |

QUOTE(MR.Shiney @ Oct 29 2007, 08:03 PM) the only difference is warranty. I agree to what you say..from sony surely they'll provide 1 year warranty for the console. from local shops, ofcourse they stated its cover by warranty but its not fully by sony, and local's psp is already modded to play backup games right out of the box. which immediately kills any hope to send back to sony if something bad happens. other than that, its the same. Basically, the only real difference between buying directly from Sony and Local dealers is : - You are given 1 year warranty for the console by Sony themselves. Those that are on sale by local dealers are normally their own personal warranty. - You are paying alot extra to get it directly from Sony themselves because Sony is selling it at a cut throat price - You would not be in the risk of being conned with fake accesories etc. Other than that, they are basically the same thing. Do keep in mind that even if you buy it directly from Sony, flashing it with CFW will void your warranty as well. And if you do bring it back for warranty, Sony will help you flash it to the latest firmware and it might take you a while before a newer CFW will be released... |

If you have doubt in getting new psp and scare of getting cheated by seller, head on and buy it from our friendly "Ok ! Thanks !" seller, Bernard Moh.

I went to Sony @ Curve last week and saw the ad for slim PSP. I think I'm pretty sure it's 799 but u need to pre-order as it will only be available mid november, due to this price drop,i was considering buying PSP from sony. however i got brainwashed by you guys |
