Mental shutdown? You wish. Most Malay who instigate against other races are politicians, they do so to get easy votes because its easier work off peoples fears than their compassion.

Problem is that it works too well, because it gets even the nons up and arms towards the average Malay, not realizing they’re just a pawn to help get these politicians re-elected.

Hence the wider the gap between the two races become.

Second point, if you think being arrogant and angry towards the Malay is the solution then I’m here to tell you hitting your head against a wall will be better use of your time.

As much your ego would like you to think that the Malay needs you and that this country’s economy rides on the shoulder of your race, the Malays dont see it that way. So to create real peace, understanding and harmony, you need to put in real effort to live with them, because you are the one at a disadvantage not them. As hard as that is for your ego to swallow.

Most nons here dont even interact with Malays in their day to day life. They only get info about Malay from Sin Chew Daily, Facebook or their closed circle of nons friends. So they assume all Malay think alike and vent their anger and frustration towards them all.

Empathy, kindness and compassion is the way, isnt that what Buddha taught you?

Not if your country was ruled by colonial power that sapped if of its resources, disturbed the local population by bringing in non-indigenous people here for profit, and created a generational socio-economic imbalance that would take hundred of years to rectify.
