hi. want to ask about samsung trade in program. I have faulty 55inch Sony TV. will samsung accept it? check the price is rm260 (see attached pic).

for senheng trade in, the tv size that I want is only rm100 trade in rebate, but they assure me that they will accept even faulty tv, and no deduction from the rm100 rebate.

I've read before in /k for Samsung phone trade in that they will just accept if ur phone is faulty (even though it's supposed to be in fully working condition), but how about faulty tv? anyone ever trade in faulty tv with Samsung before? appreciate your feedback. sekian.

tv issue is can't switch on at all. and the model is not marketed for MY market officially. even the remote control is nowhere to be found in shopee & lazada. the model is Sony Fw-55bz35f BTW.so I'm quite skeptical if repair shopee can repair it.

If the TV trade in works like phone trade in, then you will get rm260 + what compasia give you

remote control - try control with your phone. if can, then proceed with getting a generic universal remote control

tried with 10+ remote apps from playstore. all can only power & volume only, can't access option, menu, setting, etc. same goes as generic remote that can be set as Sony remote. anyway, got the remote from a friend of mine who happens to have the exact model. anyway after few months using suddenly no power at all. tv is used set which I get FOC from a disposal vendor BTW.

the used power board alone is rm400 in that ebay link. planning to get another 55inch 4k tv (any brand, as long as new & at least got 2yrs warranty, below rm1700). that's why asking for this Samsung tv trade in program.

how did u buy if it is not in our malaysia market?? I know 1 good shop nearby balai polis usj 8 that can fix tv. Maybe u can ask him to fix for u?

bec a quick Google search mostly display the result from US & UK only (with available pricing shown in USD or €). and the person who gave me the tv mentioned that the tv is shipped from UK some 10 years ago (info given by the company that disposing the tv).

plus search for the remote in shopee & lazada for that model yield ZERO result. if the remote can't source locally, what more to source the power board, even harder I bet.

didn't buy it. it was given FOC by one of the disposal company to me (used set).
