After browsing for some more, found this...
I did research a bit on mobile RTX4050 vs 3060. It seems like they are close on raw power but 4050 can use DLSS + FG to power ahead. Which is better in your opinion? Acer has 13th gen cpu vs gigabyte 12th gen cpu. Gigabyte also able to configure 16gb ram for just RM100 more. ![]() |

another MSI Cyborg 15A12VE. i5 12450H, 16GB ram, RTX 4050. Only downside for gamers is the Total wattage is limited to 120W. Instead of most gaming laptop can go up to 180/200W.

Personally I prefer the acer over the gigabyte for the following reasons
HX series intel is more powerful than H DDR5 ram (but 8GB is not enough, got to upgrade to 16GB) Liquid Metal Cooling Thunderbolt 4 for future expansion bigger battery and just generally more well known brand Gigabyte G series is just rebranded Clevo as far as I know, so you could probably find the same machine under other brands only Aorus and Aero are in house as for pros of the gigabyte 4060 more light weight but the 150w brick is concerning as it may mean it's running those components at reduced power and according to notebookcheck it seems like the psu may even get overloaded... personally I'll go with the acer + another 8gb ram to make it 16gb they do have a 4060 model as well but well over budget also for reference, it seems that acer is running the 4050 at 140w while the 4060 in the gigabyte is being run at 75w that could lead to a significant performance difference |

Yeah, personally I used to have Acer laptop and generally quite satisfied with their after sales services.HX series intel is more powerful than H DDR5 ram (but 8GB is not enough, got to upgrade to 16GB) Liquid Metal Cooling Thunderbolt 4 for future expansion bigger battery and just generally more well known brand Gigabyte G series is just rebranded Clevo as far as I know, so you could probably find the same machine under other brands only Aorus and Aero are in house as for pros of the gigabyte 4060 more light weight but the 150w brick is concerning as it may mean it's running those components at reduced power and according to notebookcheck it seems like the psu may even get overloaded... personally I'll go with the acer + another 8gb ram to make it 16gb they do have a 4060 model as well but well over budget also for reference, it seems that acer is running the 4050 at 140w while the 4060 in the gigabyte is being run at 75w that could lead to a significant performance difference I read a lot about the power draw struggle that many spoke about regarding 40 series. I need to research more about this before finalizing which model to buy. Acer didn't mention the power adapter rating like Gigabyte. Since you mention 4060 is being run at 75w, I would assume the 12th gen would be drawing 75w max. |
