It has been legal in France since the 70's. We're not talking about banning abortion. If you want to abort, you can in France.

We're talking amending the damn constitution to make it a right. It is overkill and make it seems like going to abortion so common as walking in the park.

Legality and constitutional is different I know

But why France did it was the same reason the US should have done it

The right wing are always gunning to remove abortion rights, and in the US they managed to do just that.

Raped people need to travel to different states to get abortion there now, even a 9 year old.

What france did was to make sure the legality of it is enshrined in the constitution as a constitutional amendment is much harder to pass through than a legality change

It doesn't change the frequency of abortion, it will stay the same, it just secures its access in the future when a fascist wins the presidency
