Holy crap!!! 3.78W idle.. I like!!!
Now all's needed is a proper upcoming NVidia board, Hybrid GPU... and wah lah.... all in one low powered + high powered BT and gaming rig. |

Nice.
Wished that they included all the SSE4 instructions into Penryn. Looks like Penryn will only get SSE4.1..... but who cares, the SSE4 is incredible! 4Ghz but at such a high vcore...... hmmm..... does the 45nm increases the risk of electromigration as compared to the 65nm? And the power consumption at load is only 73W!!! Incredible!! Looks like we don't have to change our cooling solutions!!! Errr.... looks like penryn needs half-step multiplier......my P35 doesn't have that, I think..... will bios update correct this? Let's just hope the price is affordable. Q9450 here I come!!! Note : Hope there is also competition from AMD's camp.... This post has been edited by kmarc: Oct 29 2007, 03:51 PM |

QUOTE(skylinegtr34rule4life @ Oct 29 2007, 09:30 PM) price too i suppose this particular line spells doom QUOTE Intel 45% Faster Than AMD The performance results are nothing short of appalling for AMD. Intel's new Penryn-based QX9650 pulls ahead of AMD's fastest desktop model, the Athlon 64 X2 6400+, by 45%. |
