Constipation issues... Anyone facing this issue? How long ? what do you do? do you drink over the shelf laxatives which you can buy from pharmacy or go see dr?

Many types cam buy from pharmacy. I think the govt hospital one softened you feces and you don't feel being urged to go to toilet. No stomach pain like regular laxative. I cannot remember the main ingredient.
