@why79, the 60GB/80GB doesn't improves the performance issues (framerate, tearing, etc.) of ps2 games. it just apply some smoothing and upscaling algorithm. makes ps2 games look more like 800*600 PC resolutions.

to make a 60GB/80GB to play region free ps2 games involves a risky mod. google [PS3 swap switch], some modders manage to exploit the PS3 to play other region ps2 games notworthy.gif

Look like a good bargain form playasia since the ahem... cd stuck at one level and keep loading.
