QUOTE(hihihehe @ Feb 29 2024, 10:14 PM) I applied back in Jan. Waited plus minus 13 days from the day I submitted the extra document. But once your passport has entered and exited Australia clean-lyn without issue, it’ll be easier the next round you apply visa. |

QUOTE(PATAR @ Feb 29 2024, 10:29 PM) Still can apply online for ETA. Indonesians and other more suspect countries need apply at embassy. Can still be a lot worse. this news is the first step in removing Msia from the ETA (601) visa system...there were 60,000 msians who overstayed their tourist visa in 2019... Covid then stopped everything... when they reopened in 2022, suddenly 3/4 applicants get called for additional documents. In fact, it took up to 6-7 weeks to process in the beginning, and many missed important events like children's graduations, weddings etc. now the processing is faster, most within a week. But still 3/4 applications get marked for further documents. The average worldwide in this category (601) for further documents processing is 2%. If they remove us from the 601, we need to apply for the 600 like most of the rest of the world (Africa, india, Indon, China etc). Everybody submits documents, pay $190, and do medical examination if over 60. This post has been edited by limeuu: Mar 1 2024, 12:33 AM |

If Australia does it, so would NZ.....
Wondering what's the stats like in the UK.......If UK removes that privilege, Schengen will likely follow suit.........that time Msian passport would be quite useless US and Canada already out. |

QUOTE(h@ksam @ Mar 1 2024, 02:11 AM) 1AUD is about 3.08. SGD is higher.Even my ex-SG colleague is sending his kid to study primary school in AU and he himself travels there few times a year. But I suppose some prefer to work illegally in AU as some parts of AU cost of living still lower. This post has been edited by WaterBuffalo: Mar 1 2024, 02:16 AM |

I’ve been a PR of Australia for some 15 or more years… probably closer to 20, and this allows me to skip the ETA application altogether but I have to reapply for RRV yearly. |

is it any wonder why so many malaysians find it difficult to go australia.
33,000 malaysians have applied for asylum in australian. 33,000!! not syrians, not palestinians.... and obviously not genuine refugees. According to Australian government, more than 10,000 malaysians overstay in australia, and work there illegally. all want to get rich picking apples on farms. paid in cash of course! This overstayer number is higher than any other country in the world. HAHAHA! Australian Border Force officials denies entry to more than 20 Malaysians at Australian airports each week. Bus still we try our luck.... |
