Hi,
I'm not sure if this has been asked or not, but i'd like some advice on my problem. Got an iPOD touch recently and trying to connect to wifi......i've found lot of networks in various places and its not locked but somehow i cant surf web or go online, youtube or whatever.
I need some help on how to get it going..... i have yet to register my iPOD fyi....(not sure if it really affects). Thanks for the valuable feedback

Have you try with your very own router (WiFi) in home?

unfortunately im using a wired modem and there's no way to try. i've brought the iPOD to various places and found lots of wifi connections some places although its not locked requires user and pass which definitely i cant enter. but others it automatically detects and i select connection available but still i cant load any page successfully.

Those unlocked networks requires you to login after you have connected. Which is TMnet Hotspot. Try to find a friend who has WiFi at their home to try it out, or else go to the nearest Apple store to try it out. Conclusion, not all unlocked networks are free.

If you are at a TMNet hotspot area, after you connect to the network and try to surf you will be redirected to their TMNet login page. Same goes to Starbucks where you will be redirected to TIME's login page. If you don't see those login page, the problem would most probably be you are not connected to the network.
