The X-Files is perhaps one of the most influential sci-fi shows of all time. Scully and Mulder’s investigations of the strange and unexplained still resonate with viewers and inspired future shows like Lost, Fringe, and Supernatural. Of course, we got a short-lived The X-Files revival with original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson a few years ago. But that too is now a part of television history. And now, it seems we are once again exploring to see if the truth is still out there with a reboot of The X-Files led by none other than director Ryan Coogler.

The X-Files original series creator Chris Carter appeared on CBC’s On the Coast radio show to talk about the show in March 2023. During that interview, Carter revealed that he’d spoken with Ryan Coogler, who plans to reboot (or, as Carter says, “remount”) The X-Files with a diverse cast. He didn’t get into any more specifics, but he doesn’t have to. The thought of a supernatural investigative series led by a diverse cast is all we need to hear. Personally, my vote is for Mamoudou Athie and Nicole Beharie to be Mulder and Scully, respectively. And, Ryan Coogler is already a modern legend with the Black Panther and Creed franchises under his belt, so he can surely bring something incredible to The X-Files.

Carter also recently shared that Coogler had his blessing to reboot the series. He noted to The Wrap, “They don’t need my blessing. 20th Century Fox and Disney owns the show. They are free to do with it what they believe. I’m honored that they came to me and asked me, not for my permission, but my blessing.” And additionally shared, “I’ve had a conversation with him [Coogler]. Yes, he likes to go with a diverse cast. And he’s got some good ideas.”

Although we haven’t heard much about Coogler’s X-Files series since March, recently, it popped up on our radars again. According to a report from Bloomberg, Disney continues to work on developing the series as of December 2023. We want to believe that this series is coming soon.

Black Panther was the most overrated Marvel movie of all time. Just because it’s about black, it even gets an Oscar nomination when the story and action was so weak. To me it was worse than the first Captain Marvel movie. The CGI fight at the end was worse than some video games trailers.

Creed movies was also overrated. Sylvester Stallone Rocky was more interesting and when they write Rocky out in Creed 3, I did not even managed to finish watching Creed 3.

My thoughts exactly.
It was an okay movie, but the stellar acti g that carried the film in my opinion. I was surprised that it got nominated, but didn't wanna speak my mind cause I don't really understand American politics that much. But the movie itself is 8/10 at best.

8/10 is already very generous. I give it 6/10 only. If not because of the great cast, it would be lower. The story has been done countless time. Heck, even TVB has such storylines decades ago. The only difference is they added superheroes elements but it’s just plain old struggle for throne story.

Oh yes these were the exact drillzzz I fapped to.

it's slow, not as intriguing like the first season, then all muka masam like everyone owe them money, then of course a lot of lgbtq story line as well, i dont care about that part actually, but the storyline really like very boring, they just try very hard to make it interesting but its not, most of the things happened out of the sudden to create suspense, to create the "oooh i wonder what is that" feel, but failed miserably

For me it’s still watchable but not as good as season 1 or 2. The biggest problem was they were giving glimpse of supernatural story but never go full horror story. The dead bodies give a very good opportunity to go full blown horror mystery. If they have gone full blown supernatural at the end, I think it would have been better. At the end, the murderer was pretty anticlimactic. As for all the muka masam, I think it’s intentional as they want to portray how miserable is that place with the dark and cold weather.
