Dear Experts, icon_question.gif

I looking for a replacement for my HP Pavi i5 gen8.
Using it for Adobe Pro, other video editing, and daily work ( lots of tabs ).
Will have access to a power plug most of the time, so the battery is not a concern for me.
I do not care about the size just wanted it to have the best specs for the best price, and future proof.
Thanks in advance for any advice. cool2.gif

Performance-wise, RTX 4080 > RTX 3070 Ti > RTX4070/4060.
With your budget, suggest your get RTX 3070 Ti.

with these expensive laptop, suggest you just get better build, avoid budget version
1. Lenovo Legion series (budget version is Lenovo Ideapad / LOQ)
2. Dell Alienware series (budget version is Dell G series)
3. MSI Titan series (budget version is MSI Raider series
3. Asus ROG series (budget version is TUF series)

If you have high budget, may consider MSI / Asus creator laptop

Usually Lenovo Legion is the one decently built. You can watch some Youtube comparison especially in term of Thermal management.

2. and 3. for sure out of my budget, ROG series actually I survey I think only can afford a 2022 year ROG series, lenovo legion might be within my budget but still slightly over cause I want to max it to 32gb ram and prefer it minimum with 1tb ssd and 1 extra ssd slot.

Future prove get lenovo. Asus design is shit and hard to get spare part.
I don't recommend at all gaming in laptop. After 1 hrs all slow down due to heat.

For gaming better buy the one with huge vent and thick heat sink,
i have Lenovo ideapad R7-6800HS, intake and exhaust are all bottom, cant game without using the support, the cpu will throttle within 5 minutes

After survey again I think i change my final choice :

Asus Tuf 2024 Fa5071-ilp025w

Strix G15 g513r-whq225w

Strix g15 2022 version 3070ti

Strix G16 2024 4060 version

Or 2024 Lenovo Loq 4060

I wanted a lenovo pro 5i or 5pro but thats out of my budget, as I want to upgrade to at least 32gb ram and add ssd in future.

Asus service center used to not storing sufficient spare parts in their inventory, and hence their TTR was very bad.
I not sure how Asus warranty SLA now. Better check with them safe than sorry.

I am leaning towards lenovo legion, but they rarely had sales here in Malaysia, I only keep seeing MSI having sales.
I very tempted to get Tuf for the price and specs but the strix series also within my budget. yawn.gif

Lenovo only the slim series able to squeeze within my budget. nod.gif

I am still waiting, hoping within these 1 to 2 months Asus or Lenovo will have some kind of sales for their gaming laptop. brows.gif

before buying Gaming Laptop, go youtube search "modelxxx ram ssd"
watch that video to see what thermal solution opted or any disassembly video

you wouldn't be surprised to find some branded Rm5K+ gaming laptop using a single fan with tri heat pipes only
-causing thermal throttle(unable to max and maintain perf)
-in long run, shorter lifespan
