Hi all,

I am planning to terminate my Zerolution contract and I more or less know how much the early termination charges will be.

Just curious about the "Mobile Device non-return fee" in clause 19, what is that and how Maxis determines the fee?

Anyone one has experience terminating can share and guide me? Thank you very much.

When you buy zerolution sometimes the device after the contract is still cheaper than buying in store

If you stop halfway, and the balance payment and what you have already paid is less than the rrp of the phone when you singed up they will charge you the extra

Basically you are going to pay full price for the device now + early termination penalty

Currently the plan is RM199 (36-mth) and the device cost RM144 per month (RRP RM6,499). A deposit RM2,592 is paid and this is 5th month, so

[(Recommended Retail Price (RRP) ÷ 36 months) x remaining month(s) of the Minimum Commitment Period]
(6,499 ÷ 36) x (36-5) = 180.53 x 31 = RM5,596.36

(RM5,596.36 - RM2,592) + early termination penalty (ETP) = RM3,004.36 + ETP

So estimate will need to fork out around under 4k for the termination?

This is what i paid

rrp of my watch was rm25xx at the time, it was the older model after the 6 came out so had zerolution promo

didnt matter when they calculated

ended up paying more than if i just got the series 6, but bill dopped 400 a month after switch to umobile, so i saved in that respect

Thank you very much for the reference. I see your penalty is about RM500+. Now I know what to expect when I visit Maxis centre.

This is the consequences of terminating early.
