Straight up stock replacement; ID Cool SE 224XT/XTS handles i5 unlocked PL limit.

But Thermalright pa 120 se - (RM 170) is an absolute beast which you can reuse when you upgrade CPU or bring into a new rig and if you smart shopper and can stack vouchers, discounts, coins, it can go under your RM 100 cap.

i5 12400 max TDP only 117 W. A 120mm fan tower cooler will do. Hardly needs AIO at all.

Just be aware that dual tower type coolers will near certain have RAM spacing issue either with the 1st slot closest to CPU or else have to raise front fan higher over the RAMS.

ID cooling and thermalright have good budget coolers. Look for reviews on the se-224, assassin-x, assassin-king. Not sure if those are still the best ones for the price.

perform worse than Air Cooler.

You shouldn't normally need to refill an AIO, the whole point of an AIO instead of a custom loop is so don't have to deal with filling/refilling.

already throw 2 AIO.
both run till EMPTY, almost burn my Mobo. i didnt realized it needed refill

FYI. Even the most HighEnd 1 , will need REFILL. ( 3y++ )

( ID Cooling, Thermaltake )

why throw?

1. need specific screw to open. and really hard to find 1. just throw
2. after refill, no longer working...............

Custom Loop >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> AIO.

If want buy AIO, MAKE Sure it is easy to refill

AFAIK most AIO are not designed to be user refillable. Sure it prolly have a inlet port where its filled in factory but its sealed after that. Depending on brand it can be easy or difficult for user to try open & refill. Even if you can, your pump might fail next so need to throw anyways.

if i dont deal with Refill, ( or not allowed to refill.. )
What can i do instead of throw it away? imbibug

Most Air Cooler perform even Better than AIO AT SAME PRICE

RM250 AIO vs RM250 Air Cooler. I found it always RM250 Air cooler outperform.

RM180 AIO vs RM180 Air cooler, even better....

Get air cooler sudah TS not what high end CPU spec clock very high blahs blah blah, if you really like liquid cooler go for custom build punya those aio just not worth if you know what you doing

Air cooler any budget below RM 150 will get the job done, my 10 year old hyper 212 manage get the bracket from online still capable handling r5 2600 3600 and r7 5700x without issues unless r7 5800 and up this tdp too high tak boleh handle

Thats the point of AIO, its why from coldplate to hose to rad to pump is all black out you cannot see the fluid level. When something fails time to throw like used diapers. But for you to run until coolant gone perhaps you might wanna take a look if your stressing the system too much. Most of the AIO issues I heard is pump failure.

Like I said, AIOs are alot better for beginners since they are designed so that the user doesn't have to refill and avoid troublesome leaks especially with the prices and unavailability of gpus these days. Maybe there was a defect that caused the fluid to slowly evaporate in your case, I don't know.

With heatsinks like the hyper-212, users no longer needed cheap AIOs because aircooling was just as good as those AIOs. Now with excellent budget dual tower choices, theres even less need for liquid cooling. Just have to be careful moving the pc with the heavy heatsink attached.
