So much dengki here. Probably they are the entitled folks where the parents paid fully for their education as well.

I've friends who got scholarships to study abroad and all living expense are funded by working part time. One even funded his own studies abroad.

what troubles me is all these online page and the masses thinks some kid with rich parents goes to another country to study is considered hardship and an article worthy. We are so pathetic

Yes their parents pay for it, but it doesn't mean they don't have to work hard for it. Once reach there they still need to work hard to earn their degree, work hard to integrate to Japan working environment and adapt to their social norms.

Something doesnt add up.
If the motivation was money, he can actually move to other places and easily fix his other issues like loneliness etc

i kinda felt gross how some rich kids brag about how hard their life is moving overseas and making money bla bla

in fact they start off with rich parent funding, what else does one needs to start a life overseas.

True ah they only polite in hospitality/service line only?

Depends on a lot of things. Generally, hospitality/service of course politeness tip top. Outside of that, really depends..
Like in Tokyo, usually ppl are much “colder”, actually even between Japanese themselves because most of them move from other prefectures to city mainly for work.
In rural parts, ppl are generally nicer IMO, at least from my experience living in rural parts for 6 years.

theres a reason my friend said before when he was working in JP last time, they have classes to teach employees how to behave/respond/act when facing customers so its not limited to certain lines

like no matter how much shit you get from customers, you must always smile, take in the insults like sponge and so on. classic customer is always right mentality right there

which ultimately is why many call japanese the 2 face country, but TBH this exists everywhere man. i work in sales in MY also i need to pandai kowtow and please the clients and be a sponge when needed. its the same shit, except i wasnt sent for those trainings lol

Only daddykasi can claim go oversea, study until Master degree then get job that has absolutely nothing to do with the degree.

Somemore can talk about prioritising work life balance when living abroad, meaning money is not an issue.
