Hello and Greetings Forumers , Ladies and Gentlement , Boys and Girls..

A very good evening and hoping everyone is having a great start of the week.. Must better than mine , well my iphone 13 pro Screen got smashed as it had a terrible fall this morning .. so nerve wrecking .. until the veins popped out , black in colour..



So this had let to an immediate panic , as never in my life i had encountered a broken screen or an accident phone , usual battery change got la on previous iphone 7 , 5 , 4 ...

Here are some initial diagnosis:-

- The Phone still works well as in able to charge , messages and notifications can pop with wifi and data plan, able to use the front camera and behind mainly to scan qr codes for whatsapp web .

This incident has let me into an arena of discovery and adventure of Iphone LCD Screens and hoping to share this journey and hoping for some help and feedback from fellow forumers.

I was hoping to get the screen fixed asap this morning , as the phone is pretty much my second heartbeat and most of my life evolves around the phone fortunate or unfortunately .. so yea i headed to Google and Chat GPT to seek for answers ...which let me towards visiting and exploring


1) Ever Famous Dr in One Utama
- quoted me RM2K over for the Screen Display Replacement , saying might also have camera damage

I was just shocked in disbelieve, and decided to have a think about it over coffee and breakfast , which leaded me into more series of discoveries

2) a Fix in Damansara Perdana with branches in Kemuning & Subang Jaya
- quoted me Original RM1890 , Copy RM 1190 & Non Ori RM890 , with a disclaimer saying that Copy and Non Ori will result a Display Message on settings :Unable to verify if this iphone has a genuine display , additional RM150 to recalibrate and remove that error notification

- advised that the difference between ori and copy are resolutions for the colour purple and orange copy will look more pink and yellow on the copy

3) Lowyat Plaza a store in the Ground Floor
- RM950 Original , RM 650 Copy ( 1 Month Warranty ) , No frills no drillz but good google reviews from the tourist community

4) A repair store in Ampang
- RM1350 Original will show Genuine Apple Part in the Settings with 1 Year Warranty


Any ideas and suggestions on which is more legit, if anyone has experience with replacing LCD screens please do share here , i know since IOS 15.2 apple has enhanced the capabilities to detect which is genuine and fake from Iphone 11 onwards ?

Appreciate some inputs and reccomendations...

FaceID component must be transferred OR repairer must have device to capture the FaceID encrypted data to transfer to new component, else FaceID won't work totally.

Best is buy a used IP13 Pro.

Transfer everything over.

This one just sell clean, maybe can get RM1k.

Gone case can’t sell him new screen ?

agreed with you , get a used set , the current one sell it as a parts purpose
