Just go with Honda Wave.. smaller CC does not mean much since both are still kapcai, so might as well go for Honda, easier to find parts and should be of better quality than that SYM..

Those 2 bikes are build to go 80-100kmh at best so that 15cc difference does not mean much..

did u mean wave 125i?there is no Honda wave with 120cc, just Modenas..

I personally uses older Honda Wave 125x for work purpose, 60km daily return trip... so far so good

Wave 125i uses same engine for Honda Future 125i.. Those should be a solid engine, so if U say U get connecting rod problem after 20k km, it may due to engine oil distribution problems.. My way of using my bikes, I always change engine oil earlier than recommended so all my bikes runs like a champ even those modified ones.. smile.gif

Just get a 2nd hand Honda Wave 125i, same price point. Plenty of underseat storage, 125cc engine, full disc brakes.

Agreed on this.. if TS is okay with used bike, that Wave 125 or even Yamaha FZ150/LC135 can be bought with that budget..

I faced similar 'dilemma' before, that was in 2018. Contemplating to get new moped. Was given similar advice by my friend. Bought Wave 125i (2017) for significant price reduction compared to new & similar price for a new unit but lesser model.

Had been using it to go to pasar malam / running errands. Zero issues. Mileage just touching 14,000km.  biggrin.gif

In my case, I need a "standard" moped to replace my modded one as daily workhorse.. Heck I spend way less than TS for a used old Wave 125x, just RM1800 used.. but that bike is solid enough to be used as my daily work moped, able to maintain 80-100 kmh speed for my 60km trip distance daily..
