Me buying a spare/backup motor... probably going to use it for daily use to work, easier to cilok2 than my Kawasaki Vulcan S...

some have rekomended scooter, but finally i think kapcai still preferable... anywhere in Sabah can repair... plus roads in Sabah nokHaroommm...

So it comes down to these two choices...

Price in KK, Sabah after survey several dealers:

- Honda Wave 110i = RM5700 OTR
- SYM Sport Rider 125i = RM5750 OTR

both new and ready stock...

Any input/views/comments/experience to share?

I owned a Wave alpha 2022 carburetor version before and that bike is abit gutless. Top speed is about 100kmh on the meter, which means it's only about 90kmh on GPS. Not sure about the roads in Sabah, but here in KL where there are alot of highways, i don't feel comfortable with that speed.

Bought a used 2012 LC135 last year for 3k and slowly fixed it up. Cost me about 3k in repairs so far; Changed engine block, brake system, & wear and tear. Standard condition lc135 can top out about 120kmh on the meter, mine can go about 130kmh. If you're looking for an auto clutch bike, nothing beats the LC135 in terms of power.

But if you don't mind the power, the wave 110 alpha is ok too. My dad still uses it and it has proven to be reliable considering how my dad always forget to do regular maintainence on it. OCI sometimes go above 6 month/5k km, tire pressure always at 10-20psi lol, you get the drill. But after all that abuse, the bike still starts and run biggrin.gif

I'm owning a wave alpha FI year 2023. Here are some feedback after ownership for 4 months.

1. Decent acceleration for 110cc even on 4th gear for om flat road
2. FC about 55km/L, mixed ride on highway and taman road
3) Engine vibrating high when exceeded 70kph, I guess should be reaching the redline. I heard some ppl said it can be reduce vibration by changing smaller size rear sprocket.
