Using a Logitech G300S. Cheap and many buttons, but the mouse left button now a bit faulty. Any recommendation for a budget below RM100 mouse with equal number of buttons?
This G300S out of production already. Regret didn't buy a few to stock up. bangwall.gif

Get a Logitech G502 during Shopee/Lazada sales, even though it's slightly more expensive than your budget around RM120 - RM189 depending on sales and retail price, it's worth the leap for the amount of buttons and it can last for a long time. It is one of the best selling mouse in the world and many people recommend it on reddit. If it's something u use daily for years, you will want it to be good, nice to use, and convenient, so don't cheap out on it.

But before u buy, u must test them out so go to Lowyat or a store to try the mouse they have there to see whether it suits you. Then, note down the models and buy them online during sales.

If you like a mouse and just the button is faulty, consider buy better grade microswitches and swap them. Generally under RM20-30 can settle and your mouse clicks are good as new.

Dismantle the mouse and replace the faulty switch, less than RM1 if you know what you're doing

Haha, last time someone also suggest me replace the switch, as i no tool, just random bug cooler master MM731, less that RM70 on big sale, and less button to customise

In 3 years I changed 2 units of G304.. Really ain't that reliable.. Now I'm using a mouse from a China brand machinike? Over a year still running strong let's see how long it last.

At home I'm using death adder.. In the last 15 years I've bought 4-5 units of it from the very first gen wired > transformer > wireless current gen. Reliability not the best but fits my hand best.

I need additional buttons for fortnite 5 nos. of weapon cycle. Mouse with just 2 side buttons not good enough.
Anyone tried redragon M908? Wonder if the 12 sides buttons position would make them easily mis-click.

Just try lor. What have you got to lose anyway.
I did that for my vertical mouse and it works like a charm (I also no solder skill, just equipped with courage and dont give a f if it breaks).

been using Logitech mouse for over a decade, been through many of their ranges and it is only 1 thing that fail every single time, the left click.
It is an infamous issue that Logitech never want to resolve, probably to sustain their sales, because they know consumer still goes back to them.

Tried replacing myself, most of the time with success, but the recent mouse M720 Trialthon is so difficult to remove the soldering, I fail to replace it completely. Now the mouse condemned and cannot be used anymore. But I still bought the same model as the price and function suits my needs.

HI, the machinike mouse which model you bought?
i have a big palm and not sure whether the size fit mine or not.
im using death adder now and there is still slightly empty space on the palm side when im using it.
i try to search in machinike website but they did not emphasis on the measurement.

Gotten the G300s at dirt cheap price in June 2022 and yes, the left click give way, single click becomes multiple clicks.
My G90 boughted in 2019 still no issue even under heavier usage than the G300s.
Donno mang, guess Logitech knew that batch is lemon stock then dumped price to clear stock?

Okay la heavy enough for me, I like it. Can customize how much weight u want to put too so no need to worry too heavy. Ideally go test it out yourself at the stores before buying.

Thanks, so far Logitech G502 seems to be best suggestion with plenty of additional buttons. By the way seems to have few versions... Got hero, x, x lightspeed, x plus....cheapest seems to be the hero version.

not that hard or expensive to replace the switch. a soldering set costs around 30ish, and mouse switches and wheel encoders are only a few rm each. for me, encoders are always the first to go, so i replace them myself. mouse is one of the most used peripherals, so equipping yourself with the skills and parts to fix it is not a bad idea.

Logitech tech mouse seems to last 2 years before one of the left or right button starts to have issue. For G300s, the lazy way to deal with it is just to map the extra smaller left and right buttons to left click and right click, and then use it. Does not take that long to get use to the new position.

Guess that is the reason Logitech no longer make those because people have a lazy way out and hence fewer repurchase. tongue.gif
