this has nothing to do with being educated
people today are more educated than ever but exposed to tiktok
like see how they kecam cathryn li
how many local saxophone u know or see before?
how many local violin player you know of?
almost none, got also overseas already
malaysians don't appreciate art...those who do are all overseas
coz one need to be exposed into music lesson, only will know how difficult it is, and how to appreciate it...
20-30 years ago, very difficult to have music teachers in m'sia...but nowadays, music lessons are well available..
digital piano is much more compact, can be fit into all house...unlike piano last time, very bulky n need landed house to house it...
ya, many can learn art...but the audiences in local are quite limited...unless more n more locals are exposed to art, then the scenario may change....
if rakyat still struggling to earn money to survive, no way will spend time to enjoy non essential art...
