First and foremost it's not smart to be calling the emergency lane the smartlane. When it's back to be the emergency lane ignorant road users will argue that it's the lane for smart drivers like them

It's really not smart supposedly left most lane for heavy vehicle, but emergency lane so small now they got vehicles passing them on the left. Especially when they do it for 1km stretch because then those cars need to merge back.

Smart lane doesn't solve the issue of bottlenecking which is cause of jam in the first place.
In fact it worsen it since those on smart lane need to merge back with no proper merging signs.

Drivers should be smart enough to keep to the side maa .... it's same thing now what .....

In case of an emergency, the vehicle in trouble stops at the Emergency Lane.

Now that the Emergency Lane has become Smart Lane, so definitely vehicles will start using the Smart Lane now.

Once the drivers approaches the breakdown vehicle, the drivers on the Smart Lane will try to cut back into the normal lane again.

Wouldn't it create another congestion again and thereby s!owing down traffic even further both of these lanes next to each other ?
