Appreciate your advice and insights 🙏🏻

Hiring managers really won’t mind if you tell them that you’re looking for higher pay? As you mentioned

You can say whatever you want.... there is no right or wrong.... hiring manager is also just another human...

They would understand if you are looking for a job because you want higher pay...

Whatever you do... just don't bullshit or lie.... cause unless you are a pathological liar... they could easily catch whether you are talking nonsense or trying to hide something...

Don't say you did this or that but in actual fact you didn't actually do those things.... I've caught a lot of low-mid level position candidate trying to sell themselves like they are doing senior manager work but actually just assist to process a couple of cases.... very easy for me to find out by drilling them deeper cause they only know the surface stuff but don't know the technicality of the work..

It is OK to talk bad about your current company.... but by talking bad.... I don't mean talking shit about your colleagues.... you can highlight the flaws such as processes and what you think it should have been.... that shows you are a critical thinker and most hiring manager would also appreciate honesty rather than just generic interview answers.....

Remember.... hiring manager is just a human like you and me.... just put yourself in their shoe....
