As topic, found few shop around me and they only have 40 instead of 35...
Any major differences except being 40 instead of 35? Daily usage around 20km round trip

Higher tyre ratio. Ride wise maybe more comfortable but too little to notice. Speedometer reading will be less accurate. Make sure wheel arch can fit new tyre.

As long as the wheel arch fits, shouldn't be any issue. Trust me, the extra 5% will help alot on Malaysian roads.

If your car got ABS, Traction Control, Vehicle stability control & also ADAS system then you better rethink before changing other size. More modern rides, got a lot of electronics need to calibrate due to size & height changes.

Type the 2 different size in the comparison chart, if the overall diameter over 3% means this is out of the golden rule and it will impact overall speedometer & safety related functions.

Engineer define the tire size for certain reasons, not simply anything also can. bruce.gif

You can take the 255/35R18 which is only 1% larger than your current tyre size. 255/35R18 is slightly widen and higher but the price may cheaper than 245/35R18. 245/35R18 is a rare size and very limited choice.
