Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Now Available For Pre-Order; Starts From RM2,069



The Digital Edition of the PlayStation 5 Slim retails at RM2,069 while the Disc version costs RM2,499, which are exactly the same prices as when the console received a price hike back in 2022. You can also bundle your purchase with two DualSense wireless controllers for an additional RM300, whereas the vertical stand is now an optional accessory sold separately for RM149.

Both editions of the revamped console are now available for pre-order on Sony Malaysia’s online store. The PlayStation 5 Slim will officially go on sale starting from 20 February 2024.

True. Only this worth waiting for those who havent buy or never buy.

Cheaper at first glance, but then if you factor in the cost of adding external disc drive later on it will be pricier than buying thick one.

If you don’t need or use physical game, by any means go on but Sony eventually will go all digital route like Microsoft already did.

If you need extra graphical power, better wait for PS5 Pro which rumored to be released around Fall (Oct-Nov) 2024.

Handheld is the best

this time around u buy digital also in future can buy their disk drive sendiri attach. now it comes with 1TB internal storage.

just bought ps5 last month so, i'm good.

Problem is for example I wanna buy to play genshin but cannot choose server freely

despite so call console, it comes with restriction for a lot of games. Not sure it is worth 2K for that.

U can have the option to play 4K blu ray movie disc.

If u think about it, a dedicated 4K blu ray disc player costs more than RM 1000 in Malaysia, so its more worth the money go for console.

For unknown reason, second hand ps5 disc game is cheaper than second hand ps4 disc. What's up with that?!

God of War Ragnarök ps5 selling at RM120 while ps4 sell at RM180. Both are second hand disc.

Yes can, the difference is just Digital ver. don't have the disc slot, other things are same.

However, if you bought the Digital ver., you can still buy the disc drive accessory add-on from sony (I think for Slim only).

U will get free stand. Internal storage non issue as normally PS5 users will upgrade to 1TB/2TB SSD.

That's why PS5 have PS portal handheld. Sony also focus high tech controller.
Meanwhile Nintendo switch can play both tv & handheld.

Xbox lose out in handheld battle... Controller also old school.
If there is no console shortage issue, sales margin even bigger. lose kaw kaw...
