Hey all.
So at our office our old Alcatel-Lucent TM modem went kaput and the technician replaced it with a modem with router built in, causing me headache. I'm a network noob so I hope for some guidance.
Our mikrotik router is configured to pppoe dial the modem to get public ip addr. So it has bridges and vlan 600 & 500 for voip and internet.
But the new modem dials itself so mikrotik only gets 192.168.1.x from WAN. Voip works but problem is I still can't get to Internet even though I disabled pppoe and configured static IP 192.168.1.2 gateway 192.168.1.1. I didn't touch vlans and bridges. What other settings am I missing?
Or is there a way to modify modem settings so I don't have to mess my mikrotik?

You might also need to provide the new modem information.(brand or picture) Or else we dont know which BTU,cant tell what u can do for using additional router. And speed plan also.

I think you just gotta ask TM to disable the router side of it and set it into a modem only mode, then it can work like in the past
Or... Consider replacing it entirely with a SFP ONT module if that interests you

Thank you guys, and sorry I hadn't reply earlier.
Turned out the replacement modem was actually the defective one. Took 6 team of technicians more than a week to figure out, and it wasn't them who figured out how to troubleshoot.
- 1st and 2nd technician blamed our router and fiber (~29db) - 3rd one reduced to 25db still not resolved. At that point I realized I had to do things on my own, so I brought in our old TM router, and my own from home. And I specifically instructed TM to bring in both router and modem of their own in next appointment. - 4th guy and I tested all of that and my conclusion was it hadn't been our routers since we ironed that out, but the guy didn't bring his modem. - I wasn't around during the 5th but he didn't solve anything. My patience was running thin since the last 2 failed my instructions. I couldn't scold the support rep bc it prolly had nothing to do with it and I used to work first line support. - Finally the 6th brought his, and that solved it right away.
It costed us 8 days, simply because they all refused to believe the replacement was defective.
