OPEN MESSAGE TO ANWAR, SOON-TO-BE FORMER PRIME MINISTER
So this is the big takeaway:
1. Low value tax goods introduced for online purchases.
2. High value tax goods to be introduced in March.
3. SST to be increased from 6% to 8%
4. SST to be introduced for certain industries that were not applicable previously ike the logistics industry at 6%. Keep in mind when this starts prices of goods will inevitably increase as most if not all goods need to be transported and the industry players will pass on the added costs.
5. All new civil servants will be hired on contractual basis
6. All the new hires for the civil service will get no pension. (Points 5. & 6. are important/sensitive to the malay electorate)
7. Subsidy for the electricity has been greatly reduced or in certain cases eliminated.
8. Subsidy for chickens have been abolished
9. Fuel subsidies will be ‘rationalised’ (this will have a significant impact.
There are a few more (like the free falling RM compared to other currencies) but essentially the standard of living of Malaysians is being and will continue to be reduced for the next few years at least. We the rakyat have to pay more for everything almost.
Why is this?
The current Government tells us it’s to strengthen the fundamental financial situation of the Government.
Why does it need strengthening?
Because the financial fundamentals are weak and unsustainable for the long term.
Why is it weak and unsustainable?
Due to previous gross mismanagement and severe corruption in the system and outright thievery exemplified by the 1MDB case (the biggest theft of public funds in our history) which forced the government to take on an colossal levels of debt.
So in short we the Rakyat have to pay, now and for future generations to come.
Our courts and legal system rightly found the culprit responsible guilty and sentenced him according based on our laws.
But now this persons punishment has been drastically reduced for reasons unknown and illogical and unjustified one can assume.
One can say based on points 1 - 9 the rakyat is punished and the thief is rewarded.
The decisions to implement all the above points/policies had to either be approved or recommend for approval (in the case of the thief to the board that has rewarded the thief) by one person.
“Only 1 person.”
The saying “Action speaks louder than words” come to mind.
Pandai pandai lah buat conclusion sendiri.

Any amount would be a great help because my current iPad Pro is 8 years old and has a slow processor. It haa 256 GB of memory and even then if takes 1 minute 45 seconds to import a photo into iMovies. Sometimes, it has technical issues (eg freezes and hangs, over-heats and I have wait for the battery to drain completely before I can re-charge and re-boot it) can causes inevitable delays — it took me hours to edit and render this video
Sometimess, with videos on time-sensitive issues, I am forced to edit using my iPhone, which also takes a long time as I’m a Visually Impaired Person (VIP) with multiple eye issues
Tnanking you in advance
