normally how long is the tenure for tenancy agreement nowadays if renting an apartment?

during my renting years until end of last year, it has always been 1 year with option to renew another year.

If u want longer, u can ask especially if you planned to stay longer as you can lock in the price. The landlord can only hike at the renewal.

maximum is 3 years. If more than 3 years it is considered as a lease and must be registered with PTG. Very troublesome..
