It too my wife and I 25 years to plan for this day (and that should answer your question - we’re both in our early 50s) and IMHO it’s never too early to plan ahead.

Discovered this thread a bit late, but damn, congrats on your upcoming retirement! You've gained a new follower here to follow along your journey. I'm way too far from retirement age but definitely a source of inspiration now thumbup.gif

Actually that’s my biggest fear of retired life: having nothing to fill my day.

Don't think I'm qualified yet to give advice, both financially and age/experience wise tongue.gif but time to pick up your hobbies I guess! Gave myself permission to spend at least a couple of hours on hobbies that interest me amidst my chaotic work schedule, while tiring, but definitely helped to give me a sense of purpose in living life (aside from making moolah)

Maybe one of the new hobbies I’ll pick up when I’m retired in Sydney is to round up fellow Malaysians there and /kopitiam with them in person hahah

Maybe can even open a real /k/opitiam (cafe) too while we're at it thumbup.gif
