u must be new.

Any 8GB M-series Macbook are deal-killer.
with latest update of MacOS, 8GB performance is even worse.

with Much lesser RAM
the built-in NVME in your MACBOOK are constantly in read-write mode

- further decrease lifespan
- always seem Lag.

Even a 5 years old Intel Windows with 16GB RAM + Extremely FAST NVME, the overall responsiveness is >>>>>> Macbook 8GB

the only Good thing about MacBook :

- Built Quality. ( this is really those Taiwan maker should take note. Taiwan laptop always cannot get-rid of their childish-ness feel )

- Design ( no design = best design. minimalist )

- iGPU. ( this is really made Apple SOC Shine. thier iGPU are toe to toe with Nvidia's )

- Battery Life ( as a Long-time windows user. i must say. Bow down apple. )

Lightweight?????????? dont joke with me.
Apple laptop no longer shine in this area.

Lightweight = Low quality = Body chassis, cooling capacity, screen... all compromised.
