Recently I moved to my new house which yet to have fiber internet, I subscribe to yes 5g without contract and have been using it to work, due to my company's network will required whitelisting of my IP, I often hit the issue due to my IP keep on changing, may I know is this normal for mobile data to keep on changing the IP? Will buying a 5g router solve this problem?

Its normal and 5g router can't solve this.

You may get around this by using private vpn with static ip but this is not supposed to be your problem to manage.

Your company is retarded for using this policy knowingly we all uses dynamic ip.

Even Unifi/Maxis Fiber, you'll get dynamic public IP which is also an issue... Try to talk to your Network/Security team about your issue...

Usually only biz internet subscription with fixed IP can solve this. Tell your company IT give u another method to access

Even if we leave the router running 24/7?

to solve this just ask your company to provide you with VPN access to connect to the company's internal network. That way no issue even if your IP change multiple times

That could be workaround, but it is as reliable as an imaginary situation where tm announced "everyone are now granted static ip, but under condition that you must keep your router perpetually running and trust us we are the unicorn isp with absolute 100% uptime as well".

If I were op right now I am more concerned about the qualifications of their network team. If they could even come up with this this kind of amateurish policy, I wonder what else they had in menu to 'safeguard' my data.
