1) Download their apps. Apps will guide you. Let's say you have one set of sofas, a dining table, and two beds with mattresses; the apps will show how many tans of lorry are required. In my experience, you also need to consider how many boxes you will have for small items. For furniture, you can pay their service to dismantle it and wrap it for you. I'm using their service to dismantle my 8-seat marble dining table, which is quite heavy, and wrap it. To avoid two trips like me. Also, consider whether the destination big lorry can reach the point. If not, you might want to take a small lory with more than one trip.
2) If I'm not mistaken, they sell boxes and wrap them in the apps. But I bought it outside; it is cheaper and has many sizes that suit your needs. As for the wrap, you can get it from Mr. DIY.
3) They have a service where somebody will look at your item and suggest which lorry. They will take care of everything, from boxing, wrapping, moving, and transport. You sit and relax, but it will be very expensive.
4) Scheduling. I suggest packing all small items first before ordering their service. Moving between states far from 500km, you'd better have them come and pick up the thing in the early morning. Then, they will arrive at their destination in the evening. Some of the drivers will prefer to pick up things in the morning or afternoon and drive to the destination at night to avoid traffic, and also, they might have connecting goods to pickup.
p/s: For the first trip, I gave pocket money to 1 driver and 3 movers to be extra careful with my expensive items.
TQ for sharing. I ever asked for quotation from a few movers over the phone. They macam only interested in knowing what big items to move. Maybe to know whether I need one ton or 3 ton lorry. In my case, they advised to use 3 ton which I think is wise.
What I'm not looking fwd to is kena "scam" if they start adding additional charges to move the barang packed in paper boxes, or the bicycle, things like that which I did not mention during the quotation stage (not possible to know how many paper boxes I'll end up having since belum packed lagi).
