Beryl dark chocolate is only so-so for me.

So far the only really good dark chocolate that I have found in Malaysian supermarkets is Green & Black's, with Chocolonely in 2nd place. G&B is pretty expensive though.

Mark and Spencer's range of single origin dark chocolates are not bad too.

Some years ago there were a lot of swedish tourists in Langkawi, nowadays duty free Daim is the only swedish there.

Even tho Beryl's have section in every supermarket and many local bakers use their choc it's crazy how they are still so slept on by locals

Last time even jepun tourist stock up on Beryl's to bring home

Any random supermarket house brand chocolate in Germany has higher percentage of cocoa compared to most chocolate here due to strong regulations there demanding a product to have minimum percentage of the real stuff before you can label it as such , many cheap chocolate snack here are actually chocolate flavoured and contains no or little content of real cocoa

In UK chocolate must contain minimum 20% cocoa and 20% milk solid,

In EU, minimum 25% cocoa content to be called chocolate
