The safer thing to do is to keep only the minimum amount to earn 8% p.a. in the 4 jars, i.e., 45.75 MYR and the rest in GX Bank (up until 1006.50).

Because the marginal rate for the jars (above 45.75 each) is just 4% for every 91.50 MYR added thereafter, there is no difference between GX Bank's 1006.50 and BoostBank's 4% jar for now.

The only risk to bear, apart from the possibility of losing today's daily interest, is that once the 4 Sabah jars are full, and suppose next month they revise down the rate again (yet when doubled, the effective rate is higher than 4% p.a.), you will need to deposit more money but you can't...

Lots of things to consider...

Alright guys, the interest rate for the 8 normal saving jars have just been reduced to 3.2% p.a.

Can anyone let me get a clearer understanding on Boost's interest rates ?

What's the baseline interest rates that we get for free ? Without the need to unlock or purchase from partnered merchants or whatever. I'm deciding between putting my monthly savings in GX Bank or Boost, my main goal is to get the daily interest amount, NOT the interest rates. But I don't mind finding out which of this 2 digital banks provides higher interest rates ?

for boost bank, no unlock needed
Digital saving account 2.5%
Saving Jars 3.2%

Oh i see, so to put it simply, as long as I put a certain amount in saving jars, I get the 3.2%, and then for main account there is no limitations on amount, so in total I would get 5% interest daily ?

P/S - Can I also know how much amount to put in saving jars ?

where can we find celebration jar? My Boost Birthday Jar is closed by Boost, but, i cant see any celebration jar

And the good news is the missing daily interest for 31st Oct are credited back into it...

But the problem is since the minimum amount to withdraw/deposit is RM 0.01... you can't do anything about that stuck 1 sen

I checked this afternoon dont see the celebration jar... but, now appeared with oversubscribed msg, n 31 Oct interest was in the celebration jar...

Alright I emailed them to ask them to allow us to withdraw/deposit with minimum of 0.01 MYR instead of 1 MYR. Let's see if they will change things.

Some updates seem to be ongoing at the moment.

I guess you will soon be able to deposit money into Celebration jar again.
